emacs-19.34.2-update.zip -- Update Emacs executable and support files emacs-19.34.2-update-unopt.zip -- Same except compiled without optimization emacs-19.34.2-update-diffs.gz -- Source diffs to 19.34.1 emacs-19.34.2-src.tar.gz -- Complete source for this update ----------------------------------------------------------------- This archive contains updated components to replace the ones shipped with the Windows port of Emacs 19.34. Various patches are included in this binary, notably: - tty mode fixes so "emacs -nw" will work under telnet servers - subprocess fixes so that multiple DOS programs can be run simultaneously on Windows 95. Ie. you can have a shell buffer open running command.com when running shell commands without locking up the Emacs interface or getting an error. NB. you need to use a native 32-bit program like 4NT, bash etc. as your shell - if you run a DOS program directly, Emacs will not notice when it terminates (locks up Emacs if run synchronously, eg. using shell-command and friends). - proportional scroll-bars on Windows 95 and NT4.0 (not perfect) You can probably use these components with files from 19.31-33 if you don't have 19.34. If you want the source code patches for these changes, just mail me. -- Andrew Innes Software Developer, Electronic Publishing Harlequin Limited, Longstanton House, Longstanton, Cambridge CB4 5BU, U.K. Tel: +44 1954 785468 Fax: +44 1954 785444 WWW: http://www.harlequin.com
